Spanish has always been present in my life, from visiting my grandma to exploring my mother’s native country of Panama and I’m so excited to help bring it to others. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from SUNY-Geneseo in 2010 and during this time, I studied abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica, where I was fully immersed in the language, food, and culture! After Geneseo, I went on to earn my Master’s in Community Counseling at The University of Scranton.
Studying Spanish and traveling for school ignited a passion in me to be a lifelong learner, build community cross-culturally, and see the world. While I’m fluent in English and Spanish, I most recently learned conversational Vietnamese as I just was in rural the Mekong Delta working as a study abroad advisor for a Vietnamese university.
