Bonjour and ahlan wa sahlan! My name is William, and I am excited to be teaching French and Arabic this semester! Like many language teachers, I am a lifelong language learner. Though I have lived in Richmond, Virginia for most of my life, I was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland and grew up speaking French. I studied Russian and Arabic through high school and college, and have lived, studied, and worked in Russia, Ukraine, and Jordan. I particularly love speaking the Jordanian dialect, though all forms of Arabic are uniquely beautiful. I have previously taught French and Arabic in both K-8 and high school immersion settings. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in World Language Education at DePaul University. I can’t wait to speak (and be spoken to!) in French and Arabic with my students this year.
