Born an Army brat, I grew up in the desert of Arizona. In high school, I lived as an exchange student in Berlin, a city I still consider my second home. I majored in German in college, but also took courses in Latin, Swedish, Russian, and Spanish. I then studied European cultures, with a focus on the Vikings, for my Master’s degree. I’ve been teaching for more years than I can count, mostly language (German, ESL), but also history, English composition, etc. I remain a lifelong learner and curious about languages; most recently I have been learning both Ukrainian and Hebrew. I have two grown/almost-grown sons, and I currently live in Oklahoma with my two big, goofy dogs. I love to walk, cook, bake, read, travel, and learn!
